Personal Lore

Dymphna was the daughter of a couple of caravan owners who moonlighted as slave-freeing vigilantes. However, they were eventually caught by High-elf slavers in a rescue gone wrong. Although Dymphna & her mother were captured and made slaves, her father was executed. Having been in captivity since Dymphna was a toddler, she only knew the name the elves had given her.

After her mother passed away, Dymphna made her escape to Dur-Demarion. She would survive on her own for a time, but would eventually stumble upon the port of Thurisaz. After finding the port as a sort of safe haven, she met Phoenix and Vander, who helped her decide to call Thurisaz home. However, as time went on, Dymphna would eventually begin to become restless there. She was never meant to stay in one place forever and chose to travel away from Thurisaz to find out what else this world had to teach her.

During this time, Dymphna went on to meet many different peoples & cultures through her adventures. She spent some time with many of the great monsters like Kudzu, Izareth, and Mohr'gak. She even lived among the Horde for a time. Dymphna would also stumble upon The Fianna, and they would often become a place of respite for her. She would come to find them, take time to rest, and take part in their merriment. Especially among Kinsman Finn CúMór mac Cruina, SkyFire Silverymoon, and Kinsman Khal-Rhun.

In her travels, at times she would find travel companions like Talon, Bran, and Shiro of EBF. They would travel across many Realms together, and she would take time to learn from them.

However, in Dymphna's exploration & misadventures, she met an untimely demise. In a battle that happened far too quickly, she took her last breath. Dymphna met her God in that moment, Thanee, who disapproved of the young khajiit's presence as he still had plans for her in the living world. Thanee deemed her worthy to send back to her realm alive, and used his magics to revive her.

"All things come with a cost" Thanee told her.

Thanee then charged Dymphna with the task of becoming the guardian of the weak and doing the necessary evils in her world, so that the innocent may keep their purity. Thanee put his claw against Dymphna's forehead, leaned into her ear, and whispered. "I will always come to your aid in all things, and true death will never find you again. Find those like you in this world, those who are trying to keep the balance. The guardians countering the darkness with a darkness of their own. They will become your family and will show up in the oddest of times and places." As he pressed his claw against her, his claw began to prick her face. It felt like lightning shot through her, and her eyes turned a deep blood red. As the shock trembled through her body, she could hear Thanee say "Now go and execute your purpose! My Child of Ill Omen."

When she awoke, Dymphna was standing in a forest on the grounds of a large, dark, and foreboding keep. She was exhausted and felt like she had been fighting for days, both physically & mentally. Fog and crows filled the air of this strange land, as well as the stench of decay. As she began to navigate her surroundings, she happened upon another khajiit, Nea. They then began to approach the entrance of the great Keep, and in the distance they heard a deep and stern voice say "You survived... impressive."

After surviving the harrowing experience of death, and a new chance at life, Dymphna would meet Aodhan, Mellori, and Cornix within the Keep. Dymphna would become fast friends with them, and they would become like family. Aodhan would end up becoming a frequent travel companion of Dymphna's, and she would often drag him along with her to visit the Fianna or train with Syr Talon and Bran.

After Bran was Knighted as Super Bran, he took Dymphna as a "sidekick" (squire). Along with Khnor and Dymphna's new travel companion Aodhan.

Dymphna has since met many new friends and taken her new chance at life to explore even further. She does her best to help teach others the lessons she's learned and improve the community that has given her so much family, friends, and purpose.
