Definition

Since the fall of Nezzar, goblyns have gathered in small groups called tribes. A tribe in this context usually consists of a single leader, often a Khadine or Elder, and their followers. The size can range from a dozen to several dozen greenskins at any given time. Larger tribes will sometimes have a Witchdoktor as well, although leadership dynamics vary from tribe to tribe.

Tribes are always shifting, crumbling and reforming. Goblyns as a society are incredibly chaotic. A youngling may be born to a tribe but join another in adulthood, or decide to remain tribe-less.

Known Goblyn tribes:

Divergent Sub-types

Some tribes or individual Goblyns undergo changes so drastic that they become their own, distinct type of greenskin. Known examples include:

These goblyns have entirely different signifiers on top of the usual ones. An average Goblyn can leave and join new tribes, but a mech gob cannot easily discard their metal parts. Nor can a Snotling grow tall, or a Treasure Goblyn turn their skin green once again. This is why they are considered separately from other tribes.

Reincarnation

Regardless of tribe or subtype, all goblyns are goblyns, and thus all must face Baulk at the River of Souls once they die. How each tribe or individual reacts to this reality is entirely up to them.
