Revision as of 16:05, 7 March 2006
A Class 1 Weapon, also known as a blue weapon, is a relatively short weapon (under 48") that is swung with one hand. Armor absorbs the first hit it receives from a class 1 weapon, but a subsequent class 1 hit does damage to the target area. A class 1 weapon is never capable of destroying a shield. Also, a class 2 weapon swung with one hand is considered a class 1 weapon.
All flails and staves are considered class 1 weapons, regardless of length.

Damage
3.2.2.1. Class 1 (one-handed) Weapons cause one hit of Injury to a Target Area. Any Weapon swung with one hand no matter the size is a Class 1 Weapon, including equipment that qualifies as Class 2 Weaponry
These weapons are used one handed when dealing damage, but can be used two handed to block. Class 1 weapons only deal one point of damage to one area at a time. If a shot lands on the Body and another taget area the shot is consider to have hit the body. An armored area would take two points of damage from a Class 1 before being disabled, although a shot that hit an armored and unarmored are is considered to have hit the unarmored area. Also if a class 2 weapon is used with only one hand it would become the same as a class 1.
