there was a war, Millenia ago. before the dawn of time as we know it. before the dawn of the current age there existed a grave. with an untold number of skeletons and corpses buried within it. it was the grave of the old worlds. a broken pit filled with naught but death and its song. upon that grave a seed was planted by the hands of fate. A black tree. legs of twisted panels of bark. sinews of vine and roots. arms and chest made of scavenged bones and stone. bark and moss becoming one within its blackened and twisted form. the Grave tree. guardian of the dead.
