Blights
Blights are creatures spawned from sites of great evils, or summoned by corruption. they are not quite living plants. more so spirits that use dead plants to create their forms. Blights often are seen in one of three forms. Vine, twig, or Needle. with Other blights like Ent/tree, and bush existing in fewer numbers. there is also a recorded case known as the Gröf tree. a corrupted and undead Ent capable of creating Blights at will.
Blights hunt for life and seek to end it. a corruption within the natural order of things they disrupt balance and bring chaos. they are often seen on the fields of battle attacking one side or the other. picking one target to hunt down before moving to the next. they are persistent, and quick. with each blight
Blights in the fields of Armageddon.
as stated before the three primary forms of Blights are the Twig, needle, and vine blights, each one varies wildly in abilities and size. with twig blights being the smallest and vine blights being the largest of the three.
Twig blights were the smallest type of blights, resembling humanoid, leafless shrubs, complete with limbs and a head. They could root themselves in soil, becoming indistinguishable from regular, dead shrubs. Groups of rooted twig blights could resemble piles of firewood or debris. Twig blights were very dry, causing them to be especially susceptible to fire.
Needle blights looked enough like a hunched humanoid to be mistaken for one in the shadows of a forest, but a closer look made their plant-like nature obvious. Conifer-like needles grew in clumps across their bodies, and their gait was best described as shuffling.
Alone among the blights, vine blights could speak, and their connection to the spirit of the Gulthias tree that spawned them meant that they spoke in a broken version of the spirit's voice. They were known to taunt victims and bargain with more powerful foes.
Vine blights were known to have an almost vampire-like desire for fresh blood.
