Lore

Alphir Skáld, also known as Alphie, is the child of a Fairy and a Human, making her a Half-Fairy. She was raised in the Fairy realm and, as such, was fed with the food of fairy for her entire childhood. When a human eats food from the realms between, they become indebted to fairy and trapped there forever. As a half-human, half-fairy, this rule also applies to Alphie. However, since she is half-fairy, she is only half trapped for eternity. The problem is, you can't exactly be half trapped somewhere and half of forever is still forever. As half-fairies are so rare, there isn't exactly a precedent for this situation. The fey's rules of courtesy and hospitality are so confusing that, in cases like this, not even they know exactly what to do.

At present, Alphir is technically a renegade. She has left the fairy realm in order to explore the world of humans and connect to that half of her heritage. Due to the bureaucratic nightmare that hunting her down would be, no one from any court has tried. Her first stop on this journey was Carthage, the home of many people and monsters she calls her friends. Although she has ventured to other realms, she always returns home to Carthage. After a series of leadership changes, Alphir was officially elected president of Carthage, partially do to her success in planning and running Punic Wars, the year prior.

Storytelling

As part of her technical half-servitude, Alphir was "forced" to attend to the Seelie Queen Riswynn Desvanas as a scribe of the Seelie Court, job which she very much enjoyed. Even from a young age, Alphie was fascinated by stories of all kinds, so the role fit her perfectly.

When she eventually left Fairyland, she continued to seek out stories from other humans which, as it turned out, there were many. Human stories also differ from fairy ones in many key ways. For instance, humans tend to write more fiction than the fae do, and tend to hold entertainment value to a higher standard, which the fae cannot do without risking offense.

At some point, Alphir began writing her own stories. She weaved tales of heroes and monsters, creatures of the like no human was meant to see, and love of the like only few get to. Writing, though originally a skill taught to her by the fae, became one way Alphir could connect to her human heritage.

On her many trips hope to Fairie, Alphie brought with her stories of humankind, both real and make believe, to the delight of many fey who would hear them. At the same time, she spread word and tale of the fairies, to the human world. For these accomplishments, she was given a seat on the Seelie Court as the royal scribe.

8/30/2025: Alphir attended her first event, Numenor Opener.

1/11/2026: Alphir became secretary of Carthage.

3/28/2026: Alphir, as well as Diamondback, ran Punic Wars 9, with Alphir as head marshal.

5/9/2026: Alphir was elected president of Carthage.

5/19/2026: Alphir became a vassal of the Seneschal Guild.

6/1/2026: Alphie attended Armageddon XXIII and officially joined House Valkyrie.

6/15/2026: Alphir was made royal scribe of the Seelie Court.
