For long, Gorewood had been sitting quietly in its seat amongst the alliance’s council; for long, Gorewood’s corruption was just a whisper, uttered in disgust, outside the alliance’s courts. Many knew Gorewood Manor to be small riverside market, vibrant with brothel music and drunken slurs. The nobility of Gorewood was a collection of merchants and heirs living off several generations of stolen fortunes, all of which were viewed with discontent. Gorewood was once the seat of the mighty Kingdom of the Lowlands, and in a few hundred seasons, it had been reduced to a slum.
Gorewood’s subtlety, however, was no more. With the realm’s woodlands purged of corruption; Gorewood took to the rivers, it was in the murky waters that they were at an advantage and the Rangers of Valrim had no dominion. The Rogues of Gorewood began to extort merchant vessels which used the rivers to quickly move their wares. Though pirates, the rogues were men of honor; those who paid their ransom, allowing Gorewood to skim their purses and wares, were allowed to move on unharmed. Those ignorant enough to run lost everything, including their lives. The Rogues of Gorewood, like poison, slithered through the veiny rivers of the realm.
In just a few seasons, Gorewood had become a haven for the corrupt. Thieves and murderers sought refuge in her slums; corrupt officials of the alliance sought the company of lewd women and the favors of violent men. Once again, Gorewood was a seat of power, for it ruled over the corrupt; at the throne, sat a descendant of the drunken thief, Teej of Gorewood.

Real Life
Teej's real name is TJ; he is twenty-four years old, married, has two sons. He goes to school at Seminole State College of FL majoring in Business Administration. He is a former US Marine serving between the years of 2004 and 2010. When he's not beating people with foam swords he likes to surf.
