The Khajiit Mane is the "leader" of the Khajiit.
Their job is to be there for anyone who needs help or has questions. Additionally it's their job to help build consensus with the Khajiit before decisions are made and culture is generated. Khajiit make decisions and govern by general consensus rather then by having any specific overarching leader. To became mane one must first be democratically chosen (often voluntold). Then they are signed off on by the current mane who becomes responsible for training them and helping them transition into the next mane.
