Introduction
To wander the world of belegarth is to be willing to face your fears and strive to move forwards to most, but to me... To wander the realms from sea to forest floor, to mountains high and valleys low is not only a quest of bravery in battle, but courage in the heart to seek out new peoples, skills, and beauty unbeknownst to you before. I am Lyra Oaksong of Tir Asleen, a humble hobbit who travels the realms seeking good fights, Good stories, and good people. I care not if you be a knight, a knave, a monster or mischief maker, I seek to befriend all i can.
Guilds, Beltlines and Other ties
In my time in belegarth I have made many connections with people and have joined, befriended and even created groups. Below are the real stories of my connections, LARPy stories can be found later in this page
Belt-line
I am a retainer of the Knights of Old-Castle, Retainered under Squire Hob and Syr Argent, or as Squire Hob and i like to refer to it as "The Sleepy Dragon Belt-Line"
Guilds
I joined the artificer's guild 3 years ago and quickly found myself looking to become an apprentice, and after a book of war service project for my realm and a cluster of confused judges i became the apprentice to Master Alyori Iversa. Originally I was to be a garb apprentice, but then i found the skill of Illumination, or fancy medieval manuscript making. 2 years later I am the very first Illuminations Journeyman in the guild!! trade for other people's art and in return create pieces of art to celebrate achievements within the community such as knights, classes, and silly moments. I hope to become the very first Illuminations Master in belegarth.
I am not only in the artificer's guild but when i caught wind that there was a group of Bards trying to start a guild I jumped at the chance to join in. I took charge of an idea called the "Roaming Revelers" a traveling bardic group that goes from camp to camp at events to bring people joy, music and antics to spice up their early eventing. For my work getting the revelers together, i was named one of the 12 founders of the Lyre's Guild
Friendly groups
- the realm of Grims Keep: I spent a summer fighting with them and made their belt flag pattern
- The Wayfinders
- The Rangers of Ithilien
- Horde
- Jesters Court
- The Mirage of Havoc
- Mittlemarch
- Dun-Harrow
Hobbit hole
Lyra's Hobbit hole is built in the base of an old oak tree, a great green round door poking out from the roots. The door opens to a large open room that leads into a dwelling that winds its way through hill and roots of the tree, always with space for a friend to come, a warm cup of something waiting on the mantle and often with the sound of a pen scratch or a harp being played coming form within. A garden of herbs, vegetables lines the left side of the path to her door from the fence, small banners of various colors mark her travels as she collects momentos of places she's seens and friends she has made. Outside her fenced Garden is a small box always filled with some sort of good food with a sign written in several languages: "Take your fill, as a gift from me, keep this hobbit around if you desire more"
But be diligent as you enter the boundaries of this home, for in a land of monsters one must be prepared, and an artificer is not one to leave herself without a line of defense. be careful where you step... and the occasional lizard who have made habit of basking upon a stone heated by Oaksong's hearth, much to her general annoyance.
