Karkus began fighting with Tir Asleen in the fall of 2011 and loved every minute of it, so much so he attended Ockfest of that year under the name Stearling. Soon after however, his college requirements became too much to allow for extra-curricular activities, and he opted out of Bel for the next three years. Recently however he has taken back to the field as Karkus and continues to fight within Tir Asleen as an (yet unofficial) member of the Horde.

Karkus Lastborn of the Vánagandr is the only surviving member of the Vánagandr werewolf pack that resided within the Froze nNorth. Karkus remembers little of the attack, being yet a young pup at the time, but he is more than certain that a pack of Gnolls are at least partially responsible for his pack’s demise. After the attack he was found by a passing Ogre tribe, half buried under the bodies of his pack-mates, and gave him the name that he carries to this day.

It was with the Ogres that Karkus spent most of his childhood, and it was from them that he learned to contain the animal within him as well as his anger. From them he also learned the higher forms of combat, and soon traded his inherent fang and claw for sword and shield. With the Ogres’ teachings and the discipline required for combat, Karkus managed to turn the curse of the wolf into a weapon of war.

Once he came of age, Karkus left the Ogres to begin avenging the Vánagandr. He returned briefly to the Frozen North to pay his respects to his pack before traveling south into Eriador and into Tir Asleen once more. He has remained there since, improving upon his skills and searching for traces of his pack’s killers.
