ISO mat, commonly known as military pad, is a typically olive drab foam sometimes used in weapon construction. Iso mat takes DAP well, and is significantly tougher and more tear-resistant than Blue Camp Pad, which makes it a choice material for box layers. Because it is thinner than normal blue foam, however, doing so will result in a lower-profile weapon. Many other possible foamsmithing applications exist for this versatile foam.
