Hello I am Ebson and this is my first year of fighting. I have yet to pick a race, as I have never been to an event, but I look forward to do that and having fun with this amazing group of people.

Ebson was one of the many lizards born from the spawning pools on Khab. With the war against chaos forcing the lizard people onto the backfoot, the spawning pools, by the will of the old one, dictated that red sauruses were needed to change the tide. When Ebson emerged from his spawning pool and took his first steps onto Khab, he was greeted with a portal. Upon looking at the portal, his instincts took control of him, and he rushed headlong into the portal unarmed. The next thing that he knew he was falling to the ground from a great height, though this ground was not like that which is found on Khab. Before another thought could cross his mind, he hit the ground with enough force to dent it.

The force was not enough to knock him out, but it was enough to do serious damage to his body. As he stood up and looked around, he confirmed that this was definitely not Khab, though what this place could be mattered little to him. Just as he started to get his bearings and look around for any native life or the great enemy, he heard the sounds of shouting and the clashing of weapons. Though he should have known better than to look for a fight while injured, his curiosity and instincts got the better of him. As he made his way towards the sound of fighting, he saw the most peculiar of creatures fighting. There were several small creatures with a variety of weapons and a disturbing lack of scales fighting a large and fur-covered creature wielding a crude weapon. Both were shouting at each other in these unknown languages. Ebson would later come to know that the small ones are called humans or pinkies due to their pink skin tones, while the larger one is something called a Bugbear, which is generally hated by the inhabitants of this world. Ebson would watch as the large creature would take more and more hits while the smaller creatures would die in one to two hits from the large creature’s club.

Once the last of the small creatures had died and the larger one was in a weakened state, Ebson began to make as stealthy an approach as he could, though he was spotted rather quickly due to his red scales. There was something that pulled Ebson toward the large creature. It was as if his body would not allow him to do anything else but to try and kill this creature. Ebson was then forced to change his tactics; he ran for the nearest weapon, which was a pair of swords that were still in the hands of one of the small creatures. Though injured, he had no choice but to ignore the pain surging through his body and fight the large creature, which was honestly in worse shape than he was. As he began to fight, it was apparent that he did not know how to fight with the swords, and the large creature was proficient with its club. Ebson took a strong hit to his chest from the club, causing him to lose his weapons and be knocked back. The large creature took the opportunity to attack Ebson while he was off balance, attempting to end the fight then and there. Ebson was on the back foot, and that is when his instincts took over. He does not quite remember how he was able to kill such a large beast with just his claws and teeth but he was able to nonetheless.

The fight was over, and Ebson was not quite sure what this horrible taste in his mouth was, but after looking at the corpse of the large creature, he soon figured out that he had bitten it. He decided then that he would sooner starve to death than eat one of those things. While he was still hungry, he decided to try the smaller creatures and found that they tasted rather good. Once, he was able to determine that, for the time being, there was no one else around. He began to salvage what he could from the bodies. He would go on to keep the two swords, along with a piece of what he would assume to be armor, a glaive, a knife, and a bag to hold basic supplies. As Ebson looked at his surroundings, he realized that his red scales would make him stand out against the terrain. So he would take the knife he found, skin the large creature for its grey fur to wear, and camouflage himself.

For months, Ebson would wander around the world he would come to know as belegarth. Eventually, he would come to learn of a region called Tir Asleen. This was a place filled with what the humans call monsters, and from the information gained from one as it died, there were other creatures that looked similar to him. With nothing to lose or do, he began to make his way toward this region. For him, it was not the easiest of treks to make, but he was able to make his way there. He found many interesting individuals of different races and even found fellow lizards stranded here on belegarth. Some want to go home, while others are just looking for a good fight. All he knew was that he had found a way to learn of his home and still fight with his fellow lizards, even if he didn’t know who they were.

Lore Story #1
