Since Cyrano was the third hatchling he was forced to labor for his people and did so for the first years of his life. For a time Cyrano lived in ignorance, believing that his servitude would truly aid the tribes well being. However as the years passed Cyrano had come to see the truth. Weakness and sloth rotted the tribe and it became apparent to him that the leaders of his people had no intention of restoring the tribe to its former strength. Instead they supported a culture of lavish luxury. It was only after a crushing defeat, in a skirmish with the Talons, did Cyrano realize that there was no salvation for his tribe. To be slaughtered by farmers was sickening and degrading, even for a slave. The tribe was weak and all those who remained upon in it were doomed to extinction.

Cyrano's fortunes changed when the Isle of Wind and Bone was visited by a strange dragon-prowed ship filled with bearded humans wielding snow-white steel weapons. Their leader was [[Sigurd]] Amundson. Sigurd traded furs and other goods to the birdpeople and feasted with them. After Sigurd had learned enough of the Isle to satisfy his curiosity he began to make plans to leave. Plans that his hosts did not intend to see finished. Seeing this as an opportunity to escape the isle, Cyrano slipped away and warned Sigurd about the impending ambush. Sigurd had never intended to leave the Isle in peace. That night, with Cyrano among them, they attacked the birdpeople with fire and steel. Vicious blows were dealt on both sides. Cyrano was branded a traitor and, during the fray, met Rylee on the field of battle. A seething hatred flowed from both brothers. Rylee believed that this traitorous act was a reincarnation of the original treason made by Pel Sharpbeak. He believed that this one act made by his brother would condemn the isle once and for all, for his eyes were cloud by a life of corruption. To Cyrano, Rylee and the firstborn were the reason for the destruction of the island. The firstborn abused the dying land beyond repair and condemned the isle. As the two faced each other, they were no longer brothers. With spear, beak, and claw they fought. Cyrano knew Rylee had the upper hand but Cyrano's resolve never faltered. As they clashed Cyrano began to give ground, slowly at first, but soon it seemed as though he was all but defeated. Summoning up the last reserves of strength he had left, Cyrano swung downwards with the wooden shaft of his spear, aiming to shatter Rylee's skull. Rylee was well trained and saw the attack coming and so raised his arm to block the attack. Mid-blow, Cyrano lunged at Rylee. Caught off guard, his elder brother could do nothing as Cyrano plunged his beak into his chest, tearing his heart out. As his vision began to fade, the last thing Rylee saw was his heart, clenched between Cyrano's jaws. Cyrano watched his brother crumple to the ground, he realized what he had become a warrior and a member of the first caste. The battle was quick as Sigurd's crew cut the birdpeople down with more advanced weapons and better organization. In the end they only suffered minor casualties. Sigurd bid farewell to Cyrano and set sail immediately.

Sigurd bid farewell to Cyrano and set sail immediately.

In the aftermath of the battle Cyrano claimed his rightful place in the tribe. However, as weeks passed Cyrano became increasingly dissatisfied. He realized the glamour of the warrior class did nothing to remedy life on the isle. It was upon this realization that Cyrano decided to follow in Pel Sharpbeak's footsteps and take charge of his life and the world around. He left his tribe and wandered the isle in search of adventure. During this time he met many different tribes. One tribe in particular, the Water-riders, had piqued his curiosity. These bird-folk were the strongest swimmers Cyrano had ever encountered. During his time with them Cyrano learned that the water-riders once had the ability to create spectacular wooden water-craft, called sea-soarers, a skill they prided themselves on. Seeing this as an opportunity to leave the Isle Cyrano attempted to obtain one of these craft, but to no avail. The Water-riders had few resources let alone any functional sea-soarers. Cyrano knew what he had to do, he needed to obtain wood. Leaving the Water-riders Cyrano set out for the last remaining forest. Equipped with an obsidian axe, and a bundle of trinkets he arrived at the forest. Before long he was approached by a tribe known as the Broad-Wings. Cyrano observed that these Bird-folk were on average smaller than him, but much more nimble. They lived in structures woven of twigs, a shelter the likes of which Cyrano had never seen. These bird-folk were very suspicious of Cyrano's presence and rarely took their gaze away from him. As the days went by Cyrano was making no progress in his plan to acquire trees. It was when all hope seem lost that Cyrano realized the answer. The young birdman met with the tribe in the middle of their nightly feast, offering everything he owned in a gesture of piece. He asked the tribe if he may offer his strength to aid the tribe to ensure his good will. For the next two days and nights Cyrano worked his talons to the bone aid the tribe in its most physically and demeaning tasks asking for nothing in return. The Broadwings saw the vigor at which Cyrano labored and on the third day they allowed him to feast with him. They gave him scraps and Cyrano accepted them as if they were the grandest feast he had ever received. Impressed by his humility the tribe elders allowed him to live within the tribe, so long as he dedicate his days to work. And so Cyrano became a familiar face among the tribe.

In his time among the Broadwings Cyrano quietly chose the trees he wanted. During his work Cyrano discovered how the tribe built their great nests. This was what he was waiting for. Every night he began building the skeletons of nests and twisting dried grasses into ropes, out of view from the tribe. Little by little the structures were completed, each one strategically placed around the villages. In each he place dried rope around the outside. When he finished, he revealed his work to the tribe in an gesture of good will. The tribe was overjoyed at his kindness. Afterwards Cyrano announced he was leaving the tribe that night to continue his travels. They threw a grand feast in his honor and built a great fire in Cyrano's honor. Soon the entire tribe was reveling and singing songs of praise. As the night grew long the fire grew higher and the singing grew louder. At the apex of the night Cyrano made his request. He went to the grand elder and asked for one thing. He asked for a small piece of dead-fall so that he may make a torch to guide his way out of the forest. The grand elder granted his request with a quiet approval of the young birdman's lack of greed. In addition to the torch the elder returned the original gifts Cyrano presented to him. Cyrano gathered his possessions, lit his torch and left the village. As he walked Cyrano visited each newly built home and retrieved the ropes he had placed on the walls, looking on with pride at his accomplishment. Then he lit fire to each and everyone, sprinting from nest to nest. As the fires blazed, they created a wall of fire and smoke around the village and, gripping his ax, Cyrano set to work. As Cyrano chopped, the outskirts of the village began to burn. With a fire in his eyes (pun intended)  Cyrano had felled a tree and before long he had 20 mighty trees. Tying the ropes around trees and to his waist Cyrano began pulling. Fueled by his desire to escape the isle Cyrano pulled his trees through the woods with godlike strength. By dawn Cyrano had escaped the forest. He spent the 7 days hiding during the days and traveling during the night. On the 8th day he arrived at the tribe of the water riders.

About: Cyrano started fighting during the recruitment boom of 2013 in Tir Asleen. He had a few names before settling on Cyrano (a famous duelist known for a hawkishly large nose). Much to the suprise and aw of the veterans of TA, Cyrano developed a new race complete with lore and garb by his first event (Octoberfest 2013) and owned it.

Lore: Cyrano hails from the Hawkbeak tribe that resides on the Isle of Wind and Bone, which lies far to the west.
