Bio of Shyft

My name is Alpin the Shifter. I am known to many simply as Shyft. I am of the Rigante a highland keltoi clan.

My birth is a mystery. I was left as an orphan at the threshold of Hamish and Judith, an older couple who had two daughters but no sons.

They saw me as a blessing, though I may have been more of a challenge. I was raised on hard work and heroic stories. Taught to take pride in my strength but to use it to help others. My life was a good one, but I was restless.

When Sir Peregrine called for recruits to become warriors I jumped at the chance to fight for Muxlovia and see the realms.

I fought in that land serving under different captains for a few years. I found the riastrad then, the battle rage that alters my form. Some called me a monster for it; and for a time, I believed them.

Eventually my wanderlust grew stronger and I left that realm. I wandered far into the East and saw many things. I learned of wizardly

arts and sailed the wine-dark sea. I battled Cyclops and Dire Wolves; and encountered swift Locusts and the deadly Mist Lynx.

Now I am returned to the realms but lo my home is no more. Hamish has left this life and Sir Peregrin is no longer Thengel of Muxlovia. In search for a new home, I met the one called Nomad who bid me join the warrior lodge of Abraxas. Now I stand with my comrades and defend the gates. What adventures await I do not know but I will meet them with the aid of my friends and the fervor of my riastrad.
