Path of the Riddari

The Riddari of the Dimma Úlfur are some of our more dedicated fighters. They have begun to give their lives over to the rigors of combat and take the honor of the Dimma Úlfur to a whole new level. The men and women that follow this path will set an example for all members of the Hersir and be expected to successfully lead all Dimma Úlfur combatants into battle.

To become a Riddari

Combat

-Defeat your chosen 10 warriors 4 in a row with primary fighting style

-Defeat your chosen 10 2 out of 4 with 2 other fighting styles.

-Demonstrate proficiency in four other fighting styles.

-Win at 5 events in tournament.

-Win in 2 on 1, 3 on 1, and 4 on 1 trials

Service

-Run an event.

-Serve as autocrat.

-Serve at troll.

-Serve as security-crat twice and serve in a security force 4 times

-Serve as herald a minimum of 1 hour per week (this can be broken down into 30-minute blocks).

-Attend at least 4 national events.

-Run a tourney.

-Pass a herald's exam.

-Qualify as weapons tester.

-Serve as weapons tester at a national event.

-Serve as Dimma Ulfur/Ulfur Greni War Leader for at least one national event.

Research/Leadership

-Know commands in dansk.

-Know all tactics from the hersir manual

-Study strategy and tactics.

-Read manuals on Viking military and tactics

-Study medieval/classical battles.

-Study the Norse culture.

-Study small-unit tactics.

-Study leadership.

-Do introspection on the values of

-Maintain your Riddari's Armor

-Have full kit (tent and camp gear are optional but greatly stressed)

-Authorize for SCA or live steel or both

-Own chain, round shield, helm, sword

-Be nominated by the stallari

-Name your lineage and start your personal house under your family name.
