'Fest '14 General Rules

General Site Rules

Speeding: The posted limit is 20MPH.

Cars: Cars may only park in designated parking areas and are not allowed on the grass. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Pets: All pets MUST BE LEASHED at all times and please pick up after them.

Swimming: NO SWIMMING ALLOWED. (NB: There are snakes in the water.)

Quiet Hours: 10PM - 8AM

Campfires: Unless you are in one of the designate areas, YOUR FIREPIT MUST BE ELEVATED. Digging your own will result in being dismissed from the park. Building your own is fine, you will just have to remove it when you leave. You may purchase wood from the site.

Alcohol: Alcohol is prohibited. The punishment for having possession of open alcohol containers can range from, but are not limited to: verbal warnings and dismissal from the park. DON’T BE STUPID, DON’T GIVE THE PARK RANGERS - OR SECURITY - A REASON TO KICK YOU OUT.

Updated Rules for Security:

We would like every group to assign a Camp Master. This person will be in charge of policing their own camp. Their entire job is to make sure that people are being safe, that their camp is cleaned before packing up and going home, and that no one is going to cause any trouble. We may or may not come back here for Fest next year, but we’d like to have the option.

We would also like every camp (whether it be unit, realm, or Sampler Platter) to provide one volunteer for Security. Their responsibilities include: making sure people are safe, making sure no one is passed out in a ditch, keeping an eye out for open containers/underage drinking, and keeping an eye out for general idiocy and shenanigans.

Infractions:

This is county property, so we’re going to be somewhat strict. Security and Event Coordinators will give Verbal Warnings for some infractions and Immediate Dismissal for others. Verbal Warnings will be given for things like:

OPEN CONTAINERS (MILD) SHENANIGANS/PRANKS EXCESSIVE NOISE DURING QUIET HOURS

Immediate Dismissal may be given for things like:

OPEN CONTAINERS 2 VERBAL WARNINGS OVER THE COURSE OF THE EVENT DESTRUCTION OF PRIVATE/PUBLIC PROPERTY BUILDING AN INGROUND FIRE OUTSIDE OF DESIGNATED AREAS PUKING IN A PUBLIC AREA (FROM EXCESSIVE DRINKING) SENDING YOU TO THE HOSPITAL FOR ALCOHOL POISONING (SEVERE) SHENANIGANS/PRANKS

Procedure:

Every individual is allowed 1 VERBAL WARNING. On the First Warning, Security will take down your information and inform your Camp Master. On the Second, you’ll be asked to leave.

If three or more people from the same camp are dismissed, the entire camp will be asked to leave (seriously, Camp Masters, police your people). Further, every camp is entitled Two Noise Violations (the same process listed above applies). On the Second, the entire camp will be asked to leave.
