Overview
逃税 (Táo Shuì) is a specialized Belegarth fighting unit founded in 2026. The unit is comprised entirely of the Ascian race, drawing its primary aesthetic, armor, and martial traditions from East Asian history and culture (specifically inspired by historical Chinese, Japanese, and Korean styles). As survivors of the great displacement that shattered their advanced civilization, the members of Tao Shuì travel the lands as nomadic scholars and warriors. They focus heavily on adapting to the harsh realities of Belegarth by unlocking the traditional martial arts, teachings, and knowledge of their ancestors while actively searching the world for ancient information and lost relics.
Factions & National Structure
The unit is formally sectioned into distinct factions based on country of origin (such as Japan, China, and Korea). Each individual country maintains its own internal hierarchy and leadership, focusing on the specific ancestral traditions of that region.
Fighters looking to align with the unit can join a specific country's faction as Followers. Followers train under that country's leadership, learn its unique cultural martial traditions, and assist full members in the field while gaining the ancestral knowledge necessary to climb their country's internal hierarchy.
Membership
Recruitment
Tao Shuì is openly recruiting Ascian fighters who display a high aptitude for battlefield survival, a deep respect for East Asian martial history, and a desire to seek out ancient knowledge. To join, a prospect must fight alongside the unit for at least one full practice or event scenario and demonstrate a commitment to learning the ways of their ancestors.
