Petition requires, discipline, mental focus, and a whole hell of a lot of physical stamina. [[The Company|Black Company]] is a military based unit and requires petitioners to perform pushups when ordered. Petitioning is similar to boot camp in any of the 4 branches of the military. Concepts are the same, in practice they are the same, and the results are the same. Petitioners become brothers, not just in rank, but in practice. The petitioning process in the Black Company is legendary. No other unit requires as much from their initiates as the Black Company.
