Description

The Black Tempest Armada is a unit in the realm of Fortriu in Fresno California, they are the sister unit to Witherwood Company also based in Fortriu. They are a unit based off of the morals of courage, honor, valor and most importantly brotherhood. They stand and fight as one, and will fight to the bitter end to achieve victory. The members of their crew are chosen by finding individuals that they see to have great strength, honor, and valor in their fighting abilities, and great skills in communication with their fellow crewmen.

Lore

many years ago there was a fearsome crew of pirates, who sailed the waters upon a ship known as the Rum Runner. Their goals in life were simple, they wanted nothing more than what any other man would ask for: freedom, riches, some good brawls, a hardy meal, wenches and mass amounts of alcohols. They sailed the seas, killing any one who had gotten in their way of these goals. Though some would join them instead of facing death, and soon they formed their own small fleet. The Head War Baron, knew that to any other ships passing by they were an unstoppable force, but one day the skies suddenly turned blacker than they had ever seen, and a massive maelstrom was heading right toward their vessels, they made an attempt to escape the mighty storm when suddenly a Great Beast rose from the dark depths of the sea. They knew there was no escaping the beast. One by one the beast would grab members of the crew and tear them limb from limb, never in their lives had any of them seen such a fowl beast, never before have they faced such a powerful foe. They fought valiantly but the beast seemed to be too strong, a loud roar would be heard from the beast as the cannons would make contact with its barren scaly skin until finally the beast finally collapsed and sank to the bottom of the sea, but it was too late. The ships had taken far more damage than they could handle, and they began to sink along with the beast. the Head War Baron had survived the attack but he knew that he would go down with his ship, until suddenly a mysterious man in black robes covered in what appeared to be various holy artifacts and jewelry of a sort appeared. The man had a very eerie presence about him, the Head War Baron who he was, the man then said in a deep and almost echoing voice "Who I am is of no concern to you, but I have come here to give you a quest, if you accept, I will raise up your ships and your men, if you don't, you will die here." The War Baron then walked up to the man, shook his hand then said, "what shall be my quest." the man then released his hand then said "you must find a group of mercenaries know as Witherwood Company, you will find them in the land of Fortriu align with them, and together you will become an unstoppable force," the man then handed the War Baron a stone tablet with a strange symbol of an eye on it, the man then said "when you find them, bring them this, it will be a symbol of what has transpired this day." the man then raised one hand, then suddenly all the sunken ships had risen from the deep with their crew on board, as if no battle had taken place. the man then looked at the War Baron then said "accomplish your task, or I will see to it that your fate will be far worse than what any sea beast can cause." the man then disappeared without a trace. The crew the set sail for Fortriu knowing that they had a quest to fulfill. in time they eventually did find Witherwood Company and ended up becoming their sister unit, joining them on the field of battle whenever they were called to action.

Leadership

'Realm Counsel/Representatives

-Head War Baron: the leader and head representative of the unit, and head of the unit war counsel, this position is currently taken up by Spencer "Theron" De La Pena

- Head Captain: Appointed by the Head War Baron and approved by the other counsel members, he/she must take on duties of the Head War Baron during counsel meetings when he/she is away, this position is currently taken up by Michael "Malisset" Eldridge

- Unit Lieutenants: the heads of training in the different weapon classes, only the most skilled fighters and most tactically advances minds in their weapon class can take up this position, along side the Head War Baron and the head captain, they make decisions on how to run the unit, these positions has yet to be appointed.
