The Guard of Rohan, stricken by the loss of their king, were soon routed and withdrew from the field, but not all the warriors of Rohan fled, two refused to leave there king's side: Thorgrim and Rhonsus. They fought gallantly, slaying many, but Thorgrim felt the bite of his foes blades and parished..His fellow horseman Rhonsus was slain defending Rohan and so passed the men of Rohan. After all the defeated Rohirrim were slain, Zurokk and the rest of Crushbone feasted on the flesh of the ill fated king and celebrated long in to the night. |
