Wildwood wasn't always a joke.
For a long time it was just a bunch of people trying to be a realm, because they didn't agree with the leadership of the realm the next town over.
But Dagorhir didn't like that, and we got a lot of flack, and it's better to burn out than fade away. So, there are a lot of great fighters who were raised in Wildwood, and they don't remember it as a joke. They remember it as a realm with great asperations, and way too much free time, and a crazy sense of humor. So now, it's a joke.
