I realize that Belegarth lore often diverges from real world lore, but because the Sidhe are commonly considered fae(ries) I wanted to ask about it.  Particularly since the Sidhe page references "fae" in several places, and the sub-category Fae page also mentions Sidhe.  It just kinda seems like if Trolls or Ogres said they weren't monsters.

I'd also wanted to note that there aren't any inherent traits to (Belegarth, or real-world) fae(ries); Merfolk and Unicorns are both listed as fae, for example.

I also wanted to note that there aren't any inherent traits to (Belegarth, or real-world) fae(ries); "fae" are not inherently malicious (and collectively are not inherently tricksters; at least no more so than Sidhe historically are).  For example, both Merfolk and Unicorns are listed as fae within Belegarth.

Given that this page is based on real world lore that has been highly colonized through the perpetuation of disinformation, I am going to work on editing it to be as in line as possible with actual lore. I will do what I can to maintain what is already here and label it as fictional or some such. - Aine SilverSun

Hello @ Slaug. I had some questions I wanted to ask. In the edits I saw that you wrote: "The Sidhe are not affiliated with the Fae or any of their existing lore. The Sidhe are benevolent eccentrics, as opposed to malicious tricksters."

Looking forward to your response. Thanks, Rasheab (talk) 22:54, 13 August 2021 (CDT) Last edited 10/10/2021
