Sweet spot is the term used to apply to the portion of a swung weapon, generally on a sword or club, where the foam breaks down and softens as the weapon is used over time. The term is used because the sweet spot, a term borrowed from baseball [1], where it applies to the bat, is the location on the striking surface most effective for strikes with a swung weapon, generally 2/3 to 3/4 up the blade from the grip, and is therefore the place that receives the most frequent and hardest impact.
