Back Story:

It started with the wandering of The Haze. I could remember nothing of who I was or of how I came to be there, but it felt like forever in a second that I wandered, trapped there, now that I look back. It was a small band of shadows that ended that time or was it the distant rumble of thunder on the horizon, I am unsure. The shadows invited me to join them in defense of a small field within their realm which I later came to know as Thunder-Guard.

Their proposal intrigued me and I followed. I had to know why did these shadows defended this field. They gave me a pair of swords and I found that they felt right in my hands though not perfect and the idea of battle felt familiar. The Haze still surrounded me however it no longer seemed to cling to me and trap me within. Every swing of the blades in my hands seemed to cut at The Haze. It fell away from me as I continued to fight and I began to see what the shadows really were, warriors.

With The Haze slowly leaving me I began to remember little bits of who I was. A name played on my tongue but would not leave my lips. My borrowed swords, while familiar, were too short and something was wrong with the colour. They didn't shine right. For a time I endeavored to re-create the blades that hover just on the end of my conscience mind. My efforts amounted to nothing but a poor parody of the truth.

I began to remember more of myself. I had been betrayed by some one. Some one I had trusted. It was because of them that I had become trapped in The Haze, that even than clung to me some how though it stayed just out of swords reach. And still that name played on my tongue. Slash? Slice? Was I even close?

It was about this time we were set upon by what others have describe as small trolls. I think they were more accurately described as imps. They pestered us and made attempts at thievery, all of which were thwarted. It was ultimately decided that the small field was of no large sacrifice since no amount of steel seemed to quiet the beasts. We let the imps take it and with more than one warrior swearing revenge a new larger field was easily taken.

As time pasted the old warriors left and died and new ones joined our ranks Yet I seemed to age little. My skills with the blade improved and The Haze though ever present now hovered just at the end of my vision. However the unspoken name on my tongue and dreams of long shining blades still tormented me. I remember well the day when I finally defeated it. I was laying on the grass after a particularly well fought battle. The sky was clear on that warm summer day but I still swear I hear thunder.

"Slyphs," I said without reason, though the meaning was now clear in my mind. "What?" another warrior of the realm asked. It was either Esalvapar or Xavier. I am unsure for many things suddenly flooded my mind. I stood and announced myself to the realm. "I am Slyphs, a nephilim who was betrayed my his own father for refusing to bow to his sovereignty."

I felt The Haze losing it's grip on me once and for all but there was still one thing I had to do. That night in private I called out two names I had long missed. Two long shining blades appeared before me. They were Tysael and Sangael, My Silver Wings. Taking them in my hands I heard thunder for the third time and a faint scream as The Haze left me for good.

I became a leader of the realm by helping to form The Council of Thunder-Guard. For a time I lead my own unit, The Order of the Silver Wings. Many of the younger warriors flocked to my ranks and as one we were a force to be reckoned with. However where I stood didn't feel right. I soon came to realize I was not destined to lead others in battle, only to join them. I disbanded my unit and fought independently for a short while. Recently I was approached by the Weapons Master, Lucifron, to join his unit The Order of the Rose. I can learn much from him and I am eager to.
