Sand Plains is a realm founded officially in 2011 in Stevens Point, WI.

The Sand Plains is part of UW Stevens Point's collective of student organizations, and is one of the few college realms nationwide that receives funding from their school. The club started in 2009, after Faustus, Schlagen, and several others overtook the existing boffer group.
Prior to Slagar's brief residency, the Sand People had never really ventured out to any other realms or events. Finally, in 2011, Slagar dragged Chimney, Mint, Silo, and Summit to Wolfpack Opener 2011, putting Sand Plains on the map as an official realm. Later in the year, they were accepted into the Northern alliance. Late 2012, they gained speaking rights for War Council. In late 2013, they became a voting realm.
So, what's with the name then?
UWSP is a nationally renowned natural resources school. Many Sand People are either natural resource students or alumni. As a nod to this, the name is a reference to the distinct geographical region of Wisconsin.
Home rules
- No minimum garb requirements for practices.
- No shield bashing fighters without shields.

Current Practice times (Fall 2017):
Tuesdays 4pm to 6pm DeBot Field/Room HEC110 Saturdays 1pm to 4pm DeBot Field/Room HEC110
Practices are held on the UWSP Campus:
Weekday practice dates and times typically change with each semester.
During warm months (typically April through October/November-ish) we are outside on DeBot Field on UWSP Campus.
Come winter, practices migrate inward to the Health Enhancement Center, room 110/154.
