Practices in 2011
Beginner Practices
When: Every Sunday from 12:00pm (noon) until 3:30 pm
Where: Rincon Valley Community Park in Santa Rosa, California (Click For Map & Directions) The park is located next to the Rincon Valley Library and Maria Carrillo High School, and can be accessed from Montecito Boulevard, Badger Road, or Rick Drive. We practice in the center of the park near the picnic tables and firepits, which are beneath the shade trees along the creek. There are several large open grassy areas, a water fountain, and restrooms in the vicinity.
What: These practices focus on introducing new players to different game types and basic fighting techniques, as well as general rules and etiquette. Realm equipment is available (in moderate supply) and can be used freely by newcomers and those who have not yet made their own gear and garb.
Who: Novices & Newcomers are welcome! Anyone 14 years or older can play. Those under 18 years must bring a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian - the Minor Generic Waiver found on this wiki will do).
