Monster Lore

History: Born in Nan Hith to parents Alainn Reihe and Ujeu Kaninchen both of whom were born Va’da and lived through the fall, becoming Singan-Va’da, making Maeve a first generation Singan-Va'da.

When she was still very young she began fighting. It was in her blood. And as most Singan-Va’da, she was born to do it. Her mother Alainn was a healer, she taught Maeve all she knew, both of healing and of fighting. Eventually she started fighting under the tutelage of her elder brother. He stayed with the family for a good portion on Maeve’s life teaching her numerous ways of fighting as well as educating her on the history of their world and the races and Gods surrounding it. She became very attached to Sudya over the years, seeing him as her “true father.” When he left, she masked her sorrow with rage and began fighting anyone who picked a fight whether the fight was with her or someone else.

Growing up, her father was extremely hard on her. She was never good enough for him. Too weak, too slow, too stupid. His harshness wore on her but, she used it as fuel to her fire. It gave her the drive to never give up, to become better, faster, stronger, smarter…. all in hopes that one day she would either make him proud or prove she was better than he ever was.

She began working/trading a few years younger than most. Small jobs here and there, trading her time for training or lessons in this and that. As she got older she left her parents and started doing more mercenary work as well as reconnaissance and spying for Drow and Pinkie alike. She went were the money was and she was good at what she did. She became more or less a Jack-of-all-trades.

A few years after leaving her parents, the necrosis began to show on Alainn’s body(her mother). Alainn dove into the dark arts for fear of losing her youth and went mad from all the spells, potions and “cures” she’d put into her body and one night she disappeared, leaving Ujeu alone with a broken heart. 2 months later Maeve ran into her mother in a shop in Ered Duath. Alainn did not recognize Maeve as her daughter and thought she must be an old friend. She'd re-married a wealthy Skaven named Fengfu, a sickly man with a toothy smile. After asking around Maeve learned he’d murdered his first 2 wives and soon after came to own a large portion of land in Acheron. After trying to convince her mother to leave this new husband, Maeve gave up and focused on detaching her heart from the mother that no longer existed.

Maeve currently lives in Ered Duath and is closest to the Forsaken. Although she does not belong to a unit, she often camps with or near the Forsaken.
