A dead body given life again by dark powers. Often such a creature is someone of high rank and great power striving for eternal life through the use of dark forces to bind their consciousness to various phylactery and thereby achieve a form of immortality. Unlike zombies, which are often depicted as mindless, part of a hivemind or under the control of another, a lich retains independent thought and is as intelligent as it was prior to its transformation. Liches are always powerful magic users and are often created through various schools of magic such as necromancy, hexcraft, black magic, Vooo Doo ect.
The Sigil of the Lich
The Sigil of the Lich is a ancient glyph worn by all who claim the title of lich. The lemniscate Represents a Lich's desire to be infinite lifeforms, roaming for all eternity neither living or dead, knowing that every friend you make and everyone you ever loved will die before you do, and accepting you will see civilizations rise and fall. The eye represents a liches intellect and a liche's ability to stare at the void of death itself. The Star Represents the cosmic energies that empower their spellcraft, (PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION, PLEASE COME BACK LATER.)
