A Khadar is an aspiring Goblyn Khadine. Khadars must face one of the most demanding series of fighting trials in all of Belegarth to become a Khadine.

Becoming a Khadar is unique. Khadars are not selected. Rather, there are a series of fighting trials available to all goblins (the Tests of Skrybitt). The first goblin to complete three Tests earns the right to become a Khadar and undergo the Khadine Trials. The three tests can be in any combination. You can complete all three, or complete one of them three times. Whatever works.

In this way it is unlike the Knight-Squire format and unlike the process by which the Headhunter Enclave selects aspirant Meks. It is an open competition for all goblins who would seek the opportunity to become a Khadine. We think that is more of a goblin-y way to do it as goblins tend to rebel against process and authority.

The tests are as follows:

Test of Slaughter. The goblin must kill 33 enemies within ten lives on the battlefield. The goblin must declare their intent to attempt this Test before they do it. They must be followed by a Second who records kills and deaths. A goblin who fails their first attempt at an event may attempt this Test one more time at that event. Valid events for this test are notable regional events with significant multi-realm attendance. Major national events of course qualify. The Test should not be taken during morning or evening pickup battles or when many fighters are off the field for whatever reason. Being called dead by a herald during an attempt counts as an immediate failure of the Test.

Test of Skill. The goblin must place first or second in one of the following tournaments: Sword/Board, Florentine, Champions/Anything Goes at a major national event. Valid events currently are: Chaos Wars, Battle for the Ring, Oktoberfest, Armageddon, Ragnarok. It is not necessary to declare your intent to do this trial beforehand. Entering and succeeding can easily be verified. Being called dead by a herald during an attempt counts as an immediate failure of the Test.

Test of Fear. The goblin must successfully kill three nationally-recognized fighters in a 3 vs 1 format within five minutes. The three fighters do not have to hold titles such as Headhunter, Khadine, Warmaster, or Knight, but should be on or above that level of skill. The Test must be overseen by a Second. The goblin must declare their intent to attempt this Test before they do it. A goblin who fails their first attempt at an event may attempt this Test one more time at that event. If the goblin kills all three fighters, the goblin immediately leaves the site. The three fighters will approach the Second in secret and say whether they believe it was done cleanly. If one of the fighters does not believe the fight was clean, then it does not count. The identity of the objecting fighter must never be revealed, however. (Armor not allowed)

NOTE: The Test of Fear can be done at any event where three qualified fighters are present, but not at a normal battle practice. Things like monthly area battles would qualify for this.

The Secret Tests. Each Khadine will have a personal secret test that can be completed towards the 3. In order to complete a test you must first discover what it is, and they will not be telling.

OTHER NOTE: These tests do not have to be overseen by Khadines, or even by goblins. Anyone who is trustworthy will do.
