'''History:''' Hendell Stoneshield came to be in early 2005 when his long time friend Par Ohmsford were hanging out between classes at the College of Southern Idaho. He told Hendell about this game that he played at his backyard on Thursday nights and that it involved swordfighting and not getting extremely hurt while doing so. Hendell said, "Well I'll check it out". Little did he know that he would be instantly hooked. Hendell spent his first practices not wanting to stop fighting even after everyone else was getting tired. He felt that he finally found a sport that seemed to be made for him. For a short time Shannara was in Par's backyard, but news spread attendance went up and the yard was becoming far too small. Shannara then moved its practices to the College of Southern Idaho and quickly began to flourish. New fighters came and went and some even stayed but all seemed to leave there marks. Hendell knew he wasn't the best on the field he just wanted to fight and it was then at his first year he was invited to join he Chaos Guard. Hendell then started to go to events and fell in love with the sport even more. The comradery, nightlife, and the sense of brotherhood in fighting really showed him that what he was doing wasn't just about swinging foam. Hendell soon moved up in the ranks of Shannara and the Chaos Guard first by being voted to run practices, help with the events and aquiring his Eliteship in the Chaos Guard. Hendell spent the next year hoping to make the realm better any way that he could.

Unfortuantly the winds of change beckoned Hendell to search elsewhere for the growth as a fighter and person. Hendell then left the Chaos Guard on good terms and explained it was not for politics or selfishness like many thought. It was a choice he had to make for him and him alone. Hendell at that time was approached by Kage to join the Reapers and become the first Reaper outside of Ebonhold. More changes came when in 2008 Par annouced that he was handing over the title of King of Shannara to Karion D'Learive. With Karion's new position Hendell felt that the realm would have a new life and that the recent moral drop among fighters would go up due to Par's large ego. Karion later that same year named Hendell Crown Prince of Shannara. Together Karion and Hendell became trusted friends and was even Hendell's best man at his wedding and did there best at running the realm that they thought was the best way possible. Hendell felt that 2009 would be the best year he would ever have in Belegarth. Hendell did not know how wrong he was going to be.

During 2009 season Hendell found himself leaving Shannara shortly after Choas Wars 13 because of Karion's temper and priorities. Due to misconceptions of Hendell's intentions King Karion declared him a usurper, when Hendell and the other members of the council asked Karion to take a break from running the realm. Hendell told Karion to return to his normal duties as King when he felt he was ready. Karion then claimed Hendell as a traitor to the Shannaran council and a punishment to be given for his actions. Before a trial could be done however Hendell renounced his title of Crown Prince of Shannara and no longer claimed Shannara as his realm. Hendell felt he could not represent a realm that put the private lives of its rulers as the top priority, rather then fighting. When Hendell left he asked the realm only what was due to him and nothing more. To him it did not matter what titles he had or the power it gave him. All he ever wanted to do was fight.

Hendell spent the next year being a nomad and fighting with whomever he could to keep his abilites sharp. At events many realms welcomed him with open arms and made him an honorary member including Ered Duath, Ebonhold, and Rath. But Hendell found himself missing having a regular practice and a true realm to call his own. During the winter of 2010 Hendell was going over what the next year would bring. The people he was able to fight that year were few and not regular and so his ability to fight was showing clear signs of weakening. His passion for the sport had also begun to fail. He no longer felt like he was contributing to the sport. He began thinking that his fighting days were over and that he would simply retire. Hendell realized that it sometimes takes a realm to build a fighter. But when an unexpected call came from his old friend Par Ohmsford over Thanksgiving he did not know what to expect. After talking with Par at long lengths about what had happened in Shannara and his thoughts of retirement Hendell found that his passion had rekindled. Hendell then began to dream of a new realm. The Realm of Shadowdale.

The idea of Shadowdale began to raise interest in people that had also left Shannara for various reasons. Hendell along with other nomads who had no realm to call there own responded with the realm of Shadowdale. Were fighting was put first and egos are left behind. A place were titles are a formality and the priority is making the sport bigger and better. Shadowdale's practices are not large by any means. But when it comes to fighting all you need is a few passionate people who care.

At Chaos Wars XV Hendell was raised to the title of Elite and givin leadership of the Reapers. Hendell is now running a unit as well as a realm and hopes he can make both flourish. Who knows what lies ahead for this fighter? Only time will tell.
