Fortriu

Fortriu is an ancient civilization which had met it's end hundreds of years ago when the valley it was located within flooded, creating a massive lake and destroying much of the Kingdom in the process. It is said that the riches left behind in it's ruins would be enough to live in comfort for well over a hundred lifetimes. For centuries many have tried to find his Kingdom, but there had only been one success. Sometime ago a Chinese Nobleman had been on an expedition to discover this lost kingdom, they discovered a large river off the coast of the yet to be named Blackfish Bay. The Chinese Treasure Ship followed the river until they had reached the lake where fortriu once sat. For reasons yet to be explained, the Treasure Ship had become shipwrecked and washed ashore on on the lakeside amid the ruines of fortriu. In time, the entrance to this river would become overgrown and hidden by dense forest. Fortriu's true location would eventually be lost to history, until whispers of it's location had finally been heard across the seas.
In the portside town of Rubacava, Rumors began circulating about a large river hidden by dense trees somewhere within Blackfish Bay. It was said that this river can be followed for hundreds of miles inland to a Lake, and that within this lake was the lost kingdom of Fortriu. these whispers were overheard by Jak Calavera and he rallied his crew in search of these riches. Jak and his men would eventually find this path and follow it to the lake. The Black Tempest Armada had discovered the abandon treasure ship and the ruins of Fortrie and built a head quarters around the remaining debris, using this place as a base of operations. In time these Pirates would continue to expand their fortess until it became a large castle fortess forged from bits of ship and ancient ruins. Soon after this fortress became a hallowed ground among pirates, acting as the base of operations for many pirate warlords and a safe haven for all sailors loyal to the Pirata Codex. It's true location is believed to be secret, it is actually just a well kept secret known by every kegendary pirate your mother ever told you about in your bed time stories.

Founded: founded October 2008 by Witherwood Company, then refounded by The Black Tempest Armada, formerly retired members of the original Fortriu, who reclaimed the name when the original was rebranded as Sunspear in September 2014
Practice Times: Practices are held every Sunday at 10am at Sierra Bicentennial Park in Fresno California, attendances range from 10-15 fighters weekly.
