Unit: The Lost Children of the O'Reillys

Wounded a thousand times, and seeming killed twice as many, Dodgrim Ironface is as immortal as Ginneigh’s Will. By the time he became one of Argyle’s riders during the Dark Crusades, Dodgrim was already a seasoned veteran. One look at the man said a thousand words. First of all he had no legs, and was never seen dismounted from his loyal Chevroth, Goiar. His facial structure was shifted dramatically to the left, from a solid hammer blow to the face. His right hand had only three fingers and a thumb, and his left had no thumb at all. His title came to him during the time of the Dark Crusades against the pagan Irish. It was in one such battle that he found himself surrounded by Blacksackers. Before he could yield a weapon he found both his legs cut off, and a great hammer being brought down upon his skull. As the grimacing beast men stood above him to claim their kill the legless and near unconscious Dodgrim lunged forth with a rusty scimitar from a fallen warrior beside him and quickly took the lives of the entire lot. Following the battle his brothers took him to Mordgar to receive his battle honors and accept his rightfully earned peace following the sacrifice he gave Ginneigh (i.e. legs). While Dodgrim proudly accepted his battle honors, he refused to give up fighting. “Just give me a good horse and I’ll be on my way. There’s some Irish necks that need hewin’ and I am just the man the to do it.” And so the ever stubborn Dodgrim fought on in a hundred more battles and added countless more heads to his mantle, as one of Argyle’s riders. Dodrgim is the oldest and most seasoned of all the Lost Children. Whilst he is often a stubborn bastard, Dodgrim is near indestructible in battle, and as long as he remains alive, which will probably be forever, he will be a powerful asset to Argyle’s company. Also known as Dodgrim the Invincible, Dodgrim the Indestructible, and Dodgrim the Deathless.
