6: fabric (for cover) or for an easy club cover a large tube sock

first get some half inch pvc tape two nickels to the ends cut a pool noodle so that it leaves room for your hand and pommel at the handle end (so about 7 inches) tape or glue the pool noodle on put two layers of closed cell foam on the tip then tape or glue a layer of open cell foam (enough to go all the way around the pool noodle) then add the pommel and cloth covering (an easy way to do that is take a very large tube sock and put it over the striking surface so it covers the whole thing) and your done now you have a simple effective kind of ugly (if you used the sock cover) slashing only club
