Character History
Ashling's family village was destroyed by a volcanic eruption when she was very young. She survived simply by the random chance that she was away meditating on that terrible day. Unable to save any of her family or friends, the fey child wandered alone for many years, ostracized by those she met for her strange visions and oversized wings. In time, Ashling learned to control her visions and even mastered shape changing to shrink her wings down when she wished not to be known as a magical creature. She passed through many lands and learned much about other races of cratures but never found a place where she felt she belonged. She was finally accepted into a new family when she met the Viking Halfgrim Siggurdson who adopted her as a daughter of Ah, bringing her into the Fianna. Following the wanderings of this celtic group, Ashling eventually traveled to Rausumea where she found yet another home and an even larger family. Living among the two families, she learned much about battles and fought like a ferocious warrior to protect her new home. She soon became a priestess of Lord Balsac in the Church of Droxland and fought in the name of her Lord, often with her favorite weapon, a red axe named Cleavage. After many of those she knew and loved left the Fianna and its range started to drift away from the lands of Rausumea, Ashling again began to feel the sting of not belonging within a group. Ashling chose to leave the Fianna and stay with the people of Rausumea. After discovering the existence of her half sister, Ellowen, they both joined the Order of Yorkshire and quested to the Lofoten Islands in search of adventure and glory.
