Lore: Long ago, in the kingdom of Old Kurzenheim, the King was heartbroken to discover that his son, Prince Zirek, was using forbidden magic in his obsessive pursuit of dark science. The Prince had done many dark deeds in the past, but this was too far! Pressured by his advisory council, the King reluctantly banished his only son from Kurzenheim. Embittered by what he perceived as a personal betrayal, Zirek and his guard-army aimlessly wandered the Wild Wastes.
One day, they were ambushed by Shadows, the hated enemies of Kurzenheim. Outnumbered and overcome by exhaustion, the traitor legion thought themselves doomed. As such, they were surprised, the Prince above all else, when the Shadows stayed their collective claws. As fate would have it, Emperor Zim, the Prince of Shadows, the firstmade son of Oblivion, the Avatar of Darkness itself, sought the service of the exiled Prince! In exchange for his loyalty, Zim promised immortality, power, and the ability to control darkness.
