Early Life

Born in Northern Japan, Shintaro was the son of a meager family that made its living fishing. The young boy was very happy with this life and did everything well. When he came of age, he set off into the world with only a few things to himself. A tanto, his clothes, and the reflexes he had honed from years of whaling and general labor. He had average strength, but strong resolve. He worked as a general laborer all over the Northern Coast for quite sometime. In the late fall of his 16th year, he had heard rumors of a great and strong guild of assassinns, known as the Shinobi. Shintaro resolved to be one, and sought out any information he could. Little did he know, that eyes were everywhere and his name was passed in the underworld. The shy, dark eyed boy from a small fishing family was the target of an assassination attempt, as the Shinobi did not look upon outsiders lightly. The assassin was an Apprentice whose name was never discovered. As Shintaro worked a melon field, he heard some rustling and held his garden hoe up, in a ready position, alert. The Ninja struck all at once, and Shintaro swung his hoe barbarically at him. The garden tool was a poor match for the gleaming Assassin's Wakizashi, but it would have to do. The Assassin then tried to grapple and over power Shintaro, but to his misfortune, Shintaro posessed great physical prowess through his reflexes, stole the would be murderer's sword, and slew him with it. The young man stood there for hours, staring at the body. It was the first person he ever killed. Weeks passed, and Shintaro chose to keep the sword as a trophy of sorts. Then, in the late of the night, he heard padded steps outside the hut he was staying at in the time. He grabbed the wakizashi and stepped out, to see a Shinobi waiting for him.

In Combat

Shintaro fights with a florentine style he's entitled the Kokoro-no-bushi-ryu. His bizarre stances and shuffles carry some Horde-ish traits, but he also carries a demeanor of seriousness, very befitting of a Guard. Having been trained dominantly by Horde and Gelf fighters, his tactics and manuvers are very seperate from the rest of the Chaos Guard and easily set him apart from the rest. He also caries minor skill is Red and Single-blue fighting. Overall, Shintaro is an average fighter, but is distinguished in the West by simple virtue of his Florentine fighting style.

Garb

Shintaro wears the standard guard uniform, black hakama, a black keikogi with a blood red trim, and a bandanna with Guard colors on it. Around his waist he has black, green, and gray 'war braids'. He's seperated from the rest of the Guard because his uniform is tucked into his hakama, unlike the rest of the Guards who wear it untucked and belt it at the waist.

He currently only wears basic green bracers for his armor, but by Spring he is aspiring to have a gray with black lacing suit of Samurai Armor, or to simply leave the leather black and also have black lacing.
