Double core is used to describe sword that is built on a rectanglar 3/4" fiberglass core.  These where the core of sword that where once manufactured by [[Edhellen]] Armory which have since been discontinued.

It is very hit or miss if a weapon built on these cores will pass a [[weapons check]].  Due to their core, these weapons do not flex on a swing.  Unless built with the proper foam combnation, these can be very unsafe weapons.
