Lore

Born into the viking clan of Scylding, Steiner was a mere child when his village was raided by rival vikings. Though his clansmen fought with all their might, they suffered a crippling defeat. Fleeing to a nearby ship, his family managed to escape only after watching his father perish in the attempt to stall the enemy. He, his mother, and his brother successfully fled the bloodshed with a number of other families hoping to find refuge. After several weeks at sea, the ship came upon a wicked storm that caused the vessel to capsize. All of the voyagers drowned in the cruel waters. All except Steiner. He awoke on the shore of a small eerie island that was unfamiliar to him. At the age of only 12 years old, Steiner knew what he must do to stay alive. He took the skills he learned from his father and did everything he could do to survive. Hunting, gathering, fishing, even ship building. After nearly 18 months stranded, Steiner mastered the skills of survival and managed to escape the deserted island on a small boat he build himself. After a few days afloat in the middle of the ocean, he awoke one morning to a massive fleet of ships that brought him aboard. It would appear it was the same viking clan that raided his village, but he knew what he had to do to survive. The clan took him in as one of their own and after years of harsh training, Steiner became one of the fiercest viking warriors of his adoptive clan. Steiner led countless raids and won his people many battles, however, the day would come when Steiner realized he must move on. Deep down he knew that these were not his people; he wanted more out of life.

And so, Steiner left with nothing but his sword at his side, in hopes of finding a purpose. A place he could call home. The saga continues...
