Atlantis was originally Trisseus' pet project back in Summer 2008. However, upon sharing the notebook with a few local fighters, the unit suddenly took a new life. It was founded by a number of veteran foam-fighters and former military personnel, all of which take pride in maintaining activity in foam-combat. Until recently, Florida had been a mere "colony" for larger national units to recruit from. Atlantis broke this trend and was founded to be Florida's "super unit." Atlantis is currently preparing for a large southern debut in Spring 2011. Much information about the unit, including a website, is being withheld until the debut.

Atlantis is an independent cross-gaming unit which started in Belegarth. It was established by a number of the state's veteran foam-fighters and former military personnel. Until Atlantis was established, Florida had been a mere "colony state" for larger national units to recruit from. Atlantis broke this trend and was founded to be the state's flagship unit.

Within Florida, the unit's (friendly) rival is the local Gestiguiste outpost. Atlantis currently has no plans to expand outside of Florida; the unit may eventually expand if the proper opportunity presents itself.
