Clohaka is an ancient and terrible Goblyn goddess. She is known as the Hunger, the Paradox, and the Plague. When she appears in physical form she is preceded by noxious green gas, and appears incredibly old, wearing tattered brown robes, with a voice that sounds like a horde of locusts but is understood by those who listen. She appears from time to time throughout history to accomplish some task, often unknown even to her closest servants and champions. Once her goal has been finished, or sometimes not, she disappears for decades, centuries, or sometimes even millennia; however long it takes for everyone to forget that she ever existed in the first place. Her worship is very rare, though there are a few dedicated cults. The casual follower stays not long in league with her, as it has been known to be a mistake to ask her for anything. To ask for a good harvest means none at all, or a crop filled with pestilence. She is equally offended by offerings. Occasionally she gives, though it seems as often as otherwise to prove that those who seek are not yet ready to receive. Though her devout followers (most of whom are not right headwise) would seemingly follow her unhesitantly to the death, and when questioned about her methods or her despise for her believers, they simply snicker as though it were some shared joke. That is, if they are still coherent enough to reply at all. It would seem that those who profess to follow her let their lives and their minds break down and decay, though they claim it to be the result of new insight and wisdom.

Her worship is complex and to an inordinate extent contradictory. She claims many opposites under her domain, feast and famine, tyranny and weakness, apathy and rage, to name a few, also plagues of all sorts and is thought to be linked to undeath as well. Concerning her and the other goblyn powers, her stance with them seems almost random. Sometimes she seems to be supporting them fully and other times she opposes all of them. Her followers all claim that she opposes the reunification.

"Lore for Clohaka: Tales of Rend the First Disiple (in progress)"

A Prayer to Clohaka
The plague wind blows, silence and terror hide and wait
There is some fate being wrought that has a mind all its own
To stay in the shadow of the shaper hides the face of the act
Time perhaps to take, the garden is sprawling, the wise are shown
Grabbing and building, moving and making, hands unseen, unknown
For what hand can act that has not a body, and has not a mind?
All shall know, after the plague wind has blown.
