Environment
We place a strong emphasis on fun, sportsmanship, and the training of new fighters. Khazad-dûm possesses a strong corps of experienced, veteran fighters of BMCS, and despite enduring the secession of a large number of fighters, has continued to exist and thrive due to patience, leadership, and experience. Khazad-dûm offers a friendly, welcoming environment to all new and veteran fighters at its practices. The veteran fighters eagerly instruct new fighters during all phases of practice, often sacrificing their time to promote the advancement of others.
Equipment
Khazad-dûm makes available a large store of loaner equipment to its new and vested fighters, and all equipment is checked regularly for legality and safety.
Future Plans
In 2008, Khazad-dûm intends to continue to actively recruit new membership and host one or more mini-events. Its membership will, with certainty, be attending Armageddon, Octoberfest, Spring War, Melcaorme, and the Numenor and Wolfpack Openers.
History
Khazad-Dûm was first founded in the Spring of 2003, through the merging of two smaller local groups led by Jed and Elindiel. The realm started at approximately ten to fifteen members, but began to draw in membership as soon as word got out that a new group had formed to replace the former realm, Hasgoth. Over that summer, the realm grew even further (to approximately 20 or 25 regulars), and was finally recognized by outside realms when Numenor held a mass visit near the end of July. Since then, the realm has grown even further, and has gained standing within the area. Though the realm is young, it has had a very exciting childhood.

Highlights
- The resistance of a full Uruk-Hai invasion force with the help of Numenor's Black Company.
- Attendance at many national events and realm openers
- The formation of seven independent units: The Alliance, BloodWings, The Dogs of War, House Oberon, Morion, The Rogues, and The Servants of Valar
- The Alliance and House Oberon being the only units still in existence.
- The formation of our own local extension of Horde (Poison Plains Horde)
