Lore

Born into small yet fearsome, Germanic tribe, I was a mere child when my village was raided by a powerful and evil band of ferocious beings. This band consisted of various monsters and beasts that pillaged lands far and wide for one simple, malicious reason; to kill. Though my fellow clansmen fought with all their might, they suffered a crippling defeat. Countless brave soldiers were murdered in the attempt to save our people. Fleeing to a nearby ship, my family managed to escape only after watching my fearless father perish in the attempt to stall the enemy. My mother, brother, and I successfully fled the bloodshed with a number of other families hoping to find refuge. After several weeks at sea, our ship came upon a wicked storm that caused the vessel to capsize. All of the voyagers drowned in the cruel waters. I did all I can to try to save my remaining family members but the waves were too strong. Next thing I knew, I awoke on the shore of a small eerie island that was unfamiliar to me. The skies were dull, the sea was aggressive and there seemed to be no sign of life. Much of the vegetation was dead and the game weak from starvation. At the mere age of only 12 years old, I knew what I had do to stay alive. I took the skills I learned from my father and did everything I could do to survive. Hunting, gathering, and fishing. I knew the island's resources were limited so I had to act quickly if I wanted to get off of the rock. After nearly 18 months stranded, I mastered the skills of survival and managed to escape the deserted island on a small boat I built myself. After a few days afloat in the middle of the ocean, I awoke one morning to a massive fleet of ships that brought me aboard. It would appear it was the same tribe that raided my village. By this time, I was young but I had the intensity and bitterness that any man would have after enduring such hardships. The tribe seemed to almost admire this about me and took me in as one of their own after forcing me to duel a half-orc near my age to prove myself. I murdered him with such ease and coldness. I felt no sympathy for slaughtering him. I was fueled by anger and aggression. This was the day I realized, I had a dark side within me. An evil side...I could feel this overwhelming sensation overtaking me day by day. I wanted nothing more than everyone to die. I sought strength and power as a way of defense against the harshness of the world. After years of harsh training, killing countless enemies, I became one of the fiercest warriors of my adoptive tribe. I led many raids and won many battles, however, the day would come when I realized I must move on. I was too powerful for these beasts. I was superior in every way. Deep down I knew that these were not my kind; I wanted more power.

And so, I left after slaughtering the king of the tribe. No one tried to stop me. I took nothing but my sword and shield, in hopes of finding more enemies to defeat and more strength to fill my bloodlust. The saga continues...
