She was trained in hunting and fighting by her father, who was an ex-soldier. He had his leg crushed on the battlefield by a jagged mace. She is the only remaining child after her two older brothers were killed in battle. When she was 18, after a 3 day hunt, she returned home to find her house only a charred remain and her parents splayed corpses on the ground. Shocked she looked around for any trail leading to who did this but found none. She searched what was left of the house to see if whoever had done this had found the buried box that contained her future wedding dowry. Lifting away burned chairs and scorched mats she found the spot. Using her hands she dug in the earth until she found it. Opening the small wooden box she pulled out the chain and on the end dangled a small emerald pendent. The only other object that was not destroyed was the strip of tanned leather that her mother was working on. She gathered branches from the nearby woods and stacked them over her parents. As she walked away there was a dark plume of smoke in the distance.
Having no family or any way to seek revenge on who ever had done this she set out on her own. Having only what she had taken with her on the hunt and no money she wanders from town to town serving as a protector to who may need her. She will fight to her death to see that what has happened to her will not happen to any other as long as she can be there.
The leather circlet that she made after that day will always be a reminder to her. The black band stands for death/ winter. The brown leaves represent the passage of time/earth. The emerald is set as life/Evergreen forests. A silver chain is a connection between life and death. It shows that when faced with death she will remain strong for the lives of others even if it should be the price of her life.
